George Byron Moulder (1869-1959)

George Moulder was born in Warren County Kentucky. He spent many years working in Nashville, Tennessee, and was connected to The Hermitage and Centennial Park. The Hermitage is the 1120-acre Nashville plantation home of President Andrew Jackson. The gardens have been redesigned many times. A drawing signed by Moulder indicates his involvement. In 1917, Moulder was hired by the park board as a horticulturist for the creation of Centennial Park. Additionally in 1930, he authored a book The Parthenon at Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A., a history of the Nashville pavilion at the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.

The Cultural Landscape Foundation is seeking additional information on George B. Moulder.
