Registration is now open for TCLF’s annual excursion and reception held in conjunction with the ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO in Chicago. This year, TCLF will host an exclusive daylong excursion on Friday, November 6, for up to 50 guests to enchanting Lake Forest, Illinois, just 30 miles North of Chicago on Lake Michigan.

View the transition from the end of the Country Place Era to the beginning of Modern design. Houses by Frank Lloyd Wright, Howard Van Doren Shaw, and David Adler are set into landscapes by Rose Standish Nichols, Frederick Law Olmsted, Olmsted & Eliot, the Olmsted Brothers, and Jens Jensen. Shaw also designed Market Square in 1916, an early example of a planned shopping center, where the group will enjoy a lovely lunch fit for foodies. The day ends with a larger reception for up to 150 guests at the elegant Arts Club of Chicago where TCLF will launch the What’s Out There Chicago Guide and present its Stewardship Excellence Award.

Expert-led tours, transportation, refreshments, lunch, and reception are included. Tickets are $1,000 per person and proceeds provide vital support for TCLF’s year-round education programs. Tickets for the reception only are also available for $75 per person. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
