Second Wave of Modernism at MoMA More Than 55% Sold Out

The daylong conference, to be hosted in partnership with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York this November 18, includes international leaders in landscape architecture, architecture, and planning and is already more than 55% sold out. Attendees from thirty states and seven countries have registered for the conference that will take place at MoMA.

In conjunction with the conference, we are pleased to announce an evening reception at the studio of James Corner Field Operations in celebration of the event. The Field Operations' 10th Floor office provides stunning views of the Hudson River and surrounding skyline and is located only blocks from the newly completed second phase of the High Line. Attendees are invited to gather with conference speakers, TCLF board members, and other participants and enjoy an evening of wine and warm hors d’oeuvres within this intimate setting. Tickets are $125; attendance is strictly limited to 70 guests. Please join us for this capstone event celebrating the best in Modern landscape design.

Also, just this week, we are pleased to announce three New York City-based tours that will be offered on Saturday, November 19, in partnership with the New York Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The separately ticketed tours include:

  • The new 9/11 Memorial at the site of the former World Trade Center Complex. Experts on the project’s design will lead the 90-minute tour.
  • The High Line, designed by James Corner Field Operations, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Piet Oudolf. This 90-minute tour will be lead by experts from James Corner Field Operations and Friends of the High Line.
  • East River Boat Tour featuring Erie Basin Park in Red Hook, Brooklyn (Lee Weintraub Landscape Architecture + Community Design), Brooklyn Bridge Park (Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc.), and Queens West Stage 2, the most recently constructed section of Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City (Abel Bainnson Butz, LLP Landscape Architects and Site Planners).

Tickets for each of the tours are limited and available online. To learn more about the conference, visit www.tclf.org/secondwave.
