Alexis Woods

Alexis Woods, who served as a TCLF Board Member 2010-2021, started her landscape design practice in 2001 and has since designed a variety of residential and commercial projects around the Bay Area. Alexis received her Masters of Landscape Architecture and Historic Preservation Certificate from the University of Virginia in 1998 where she earned the highest honors: the ASLA student Award of Honor and the UVA Stanley Abbott Scholarship for Landscape Architecture. During graduate school Alexis interned for Peter Walker Partners and the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy. Before starting on her own Alexis worked for other firms including Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture.

She and her husband, Daniel Donahoe, produce Teira Wines and sustainably farm 100 acres of vineyards in Sonoma County that have been in her family for 40 years. On several occasions, Alexis has helped San Francisco neighborhood groups begin the process of organizing local support for the improvement and redesign of their neighborhood parks.
