Dena works primarily on the Landslide and What’s Out There programs, researching and writing content and coordinating associated events. She holds an M.A. in conservation studies (with a concentration in urban built heritage) from the University of York, U.K., and a B.A. in music from the University of Rochester. She joined TCLF with over five years of experience in the non-profit sector, and was previously based in New York City, working on projects including the restoration campaign for St. Peter’s, a Gothic Revival church in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. She spent the summer of 2016 at the World Heritage Site of Çatalhöyük, Turkey, curating exhibitions for the on-site visitor center and heritage trail as a member of the Visualization Team. Dena also serves on the Board of Directors for the SoHarmoniums, New York’s own women’s choir, and is particularly interested in the interwoven roles that auditory and visual cues play in our interpretation of urban cultural landscapes.
