Shaun Saer Duncan, Hon. ASLA, is a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, with distinction, from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law. Mrs. Duncan has been a law clerk in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, and has practiced law in the areas of real property and trademark rights. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is a past trustee of River Fields, Inc., a river conservation organization in Louisville, Kentucky; a past board member of the Cincinnati Horticultural Society; and is active in the Garden Club of America.  Mrs. Duncan and her husband co-chair the Jefferson Circle Initiative which advances historic preservation at the University of Virginia. In New Orleans, she is a board member of the Preservation Resource Center and Longue Vue House and Gardens and a founding board member of Parks For All.
