Become a Good Steward

While little can be done to protect the garden from Mother Nature, local residents and business can help diminish the threat from pollution. Adjacent property owners especially can become more aware of the runoff from their property. They can take measures to better direct drainage and learn more about how to prevent contamination of stormwater. To learn more about better water quality practices, visit the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund.

Get Involved

Airlie encourages local residents to volunteer at the garden. Help is needed throughout the year for special events, educational programming, tours, and gardening. Volunteers in the garden help to facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of this local resource. Supporters may also become members of the Airlie Gardens Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for educational programming as well as future maintenance and development of the garden. The Foundation sponsors several special events during at which they encourage the public to visit the garden.
