TCLF's Fifteenth Annual Silent Auction

TCLF's Fifteenth Annual Silent Auction
Nov 16, 2019 to Nov 17, 2019
San Diego Convention Center
San Diego, CA
United States

Among the largest booths in the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture 2019, the silent auction will take place over two days and feature dozens of works of art created by landscape architects, architects, artists, photographers, and others. The 2018 silent auction, for example, featured works by the likes of Roberto Burle Marx, Laurie Olin, Pat Pickett, Dan Tague, Mo Money, and many others. TCLF will again be working with GiveSmart to offer an online auction website that allows bidding to begin two weeks in advance of the EXPO, continuing until the auction closes at 5:00 pm sharp on Sunday.

Here's your chance to get rare watercolors by Lawrence Halprin, a painting by Vincent C. Brandi, and a superb Roberto Burle-Marx lithograph; plus artwork by Cass Salzwedel, Russell Hart and Camille Warmington. These items and more - including Robert Smithson’s lithograph "Torn Photograph from 2nd Stop (Rubble) (2nd Mountain of Six Stops on a Section) - are featured at TCLF's annual silent auction of artwork by award-winning landscape architects, artists, photographers, and allied professionals.  This event is guaranteed to be a highlight of the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture at the San Diego Convention Center, November 15-17, 2019. As in recent years, the auction is being presented online, giving those who will not be able to attend the ASLA Annual Meeting the opportunity to bid.

Proceeds benefit the Pioneers of American Landscape Design Oral History Projectan ever-growing, award-winning series of videotaped first-person interviews with significant practitioners. TCLF is grateful for the generous support of our auction donors and our Annual Sponsor, the ASLA. Their continued commitment to this project ensures that the funds raised go directly to support TCLF's programming. In 2003, TCLF launched the Pioneers of American Landscape Design initiative in partnership with the ASLA, with the goal of documenting, collecting, and preserving the unique, first-hand perspectives of renowned landscape practitioners.

If you have any questions about the bidding process or would like to learn more about the auction, please contact Ayla Mangold at ayla@tclf.org, or (202) 483-0553. Thank you!
