Spotlight on Design: Reed Hilderbrand and the Legacy of Dan Kiley

Washington, DC

Modernist landscape architect Dan Kiley’s (1912–2004) emphasis on formal geometry had a great influence over generations of practitioners, including Douglas Reed, FASLA, and Gary Hilderbrand, FASLA. On April 23, the duo, founding principals of Watertown, Massachusetts-based Reed Hilderbrand, the 2014 recipient of the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Firm Award, discuss their current work in a presentation introduced by Charles A. Birnbaum, FASLA, founder and president of The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
