threat

Though the Baldcypress Grove appears to be healthy, the greatest threat to these trees is age. At over 120 years old, the trees are young for their species. Their location within a metropolitan area, though, means that the trees’ environs are constantly threatened by pollution and short and long-term climate changes. This threat will increase as the trees get older, compromising the potential for them to reach their full lifespan.
