Elizabeth Hope Cushing

Ms. Cushing is a practicing landscape historian who consults, writes, and lectures on landscape matters.  A Shurcliff scholar, she recently completed her doctoral dissertation entitled The Road to Williamsburg: Crafting the Career of Arthur A. Shurcliff, in the American and New England Studies Program at Boston University.

Ms. Cushing has been a contributor to several TCLF publications including Pioneers of American Landscape Design (McGraw Hill Companies, 2000), Design with Culture: Claiming America’s Landscape Heritage (University of Virginia Press, 2005) and Shaping the American Landscape (University of Virginia Press, 2009).
