At the metropolitan scale, the question of landscape complexity is fundamental, alternately championed and contested through generations. Evidence of evolving attitudes relative to landscape’s identity and, therefore, its responsibility for taking on complex design will be illuminated In this series of presentations, ranging from former industrial sites and transportation corridors (Urban Outfitters Corporate Campus in Philadelphia, The High Line in New York City) to picturesque style landscapes with modern insertions (Memorial to Diana Princess of Wales Fountain in Hyde Park, London, Centennial Park in Nashville).
