Chuck McDaniel, FASLA
Founding Principal, SWA - Dallas
Chuck McDaniel is a landscape architect and the founding principal of SWA’s Dallas studio. He is drawn to landscapes that are functional, restorative, sustainable and that are boldly expressive of the underlying unique qualities of place and site. During his 40-year career at SWA he has led the design of projects such as Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico, The Resort at Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, A Tasteful Place at the Dallas Arboretum, and Dallas’s Katy Trail.
McDaniel’s work has received awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Texas Society of Landscape Architects, the Urban Land Institute, and others.
McDaniel is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a distinguished Alumni of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University.
