A 150-year-old, 52 acre green space near Milwaukee’s Regional Medical Center has been saved ... for now

Sanctuary Woods made headlines in 2017 after the city of Wauwatosa announced plans to reconfigure the area near the woods, with plans for new development there. Shortly after, the area was labeled as “threatened” by the The Cultural Landscape Foundation's Landslide program.
