Completed by Lawrence Halprin & Associates under the design direction of Angela Danadjieva, the first phase of this 5.5-acre park opened in 1976.
Sunset Magazine Headquarters
Originally part of a land grant to Don José Arguello, this seven-acre property served as the Sunset magazine headquarters from 1951 to 2015.

Soak It Up: Combating Climate Change with Landscape Architecture - Registration Opens March 15
The “sponge cities” concept for addressing climate change accelerated urban flooding championed by the Beijing-based landscape architect Kongjian Yu, the most recent winner of the Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize, is the inspiration for Soak It Up.
