Charles Birnbaum, President and Founder of The Cultural Landscape Foundation will speak on the topic Beyond the Silos: Historic Preservation, Design and Cultural Landscape on May 23, 2012.
Graycliff's 2012 lecture series focuses on the landscape designs of Frederick Law Olmsted, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Ellen Biddle Shipman. Olmsted, in the 19th century, based his designs on the English Picturesque with a specifically American experience of nature and scenery. In the early 20th century, Frank Lloyd Wright and Ellen Biddle Shipman extended Olmsted’s vision.
More information about the talk can be found on Graycliff's website.
