Ernest Wong, Founder and Principal of Site Design Group, leads a tour of three of the firm’s award-winning urban parks. The tour begins at the Park at Lakeshore East, a 5.6 acre oasis in the heart of the Lake Shore East development, which features a blend of vast green spaces, cascading water elements, and intimate gardens. Next we travel to Bridgeport to explore Stearns Quarry Environmental Park, transformed from an old stone quarry into a sustainable park with wetland terraces, native plants, and a fishing pond. The final stop is Ping Tom Memorial Park, which is situated along the south branch of the Chicago River and consists of site elements that capture the beauty and elegance of traditional Chinese gardens. The tour concludes with a Chinese buffet lunch under the pagoda.
