Saturday, September 14, 12 to 1:30pm | San Francisco A: Russian Hill Garden Nestled in the heart of Russian Hill, this intimate, multi-level garden acts as a respite from the bustle of the city. The main courtyard is sleek and elegant, the cream-colored stone and concrete have been rendered sensuous, and the plant materials have a sculptural quality. The garden acts as an extension of the interior, providing moments for viewing, resting, and gathering with the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges as dramatic backdrops. |

Saturday, September 14, 3 to 4pm | San Francisco B: Urban Spring A natural spring in the backyard of a Glen Park home became the focal point for a lush and richly planted urban wildlife habitat that mixes woodland, an iris-filled wetland, and discreet open spaces all linked by inviting wooden and black pebble paths. The use of space is clever and efficient and even includes openings in the cedar fence toprovide views out to the city and to make room for branches from the neighbor’s Japanese maple. |
