The Cultural Landscape Foundation will formally announce Landslide, this year highlighting significant contemporary installations, pioneering environmental projects, visionary folk art creations and ancient petroglpyhs – sites that represent the rich and diverse interrelationship of art and landscape. These distinct cultural achievements – created by native peoples, influential artists, driven individuals, and others – are all threatened or at-risk. The reception will be held at the Chelsea studio of artist Marylyn Dintenfass. Landslide, first issued in 2003, has highlighted more than 200 significant at-risk parks, gardens, horticultural features, working landscapes and other places that collectively embody our shared landscape heritage. Attendees will include some of the artists who created these works along with advocates for this unique legacy.
RSVP Required. To attend contact Suzanne Garza at suzanne@tclf.org.
