Join TCLF and Christine Ten Eyck to witness how a close collaboration between clients, architects, landscape architect, and contractor transformed a tired residential property with a forlorn pond into a vibrant, varied landscape showcasing the beauty and versatility of native plants and local materials.
The six-acre residential landscape features five distinct zones, including a Mediterranean pool garden and riparian gardens surrounding a pond. Wherever possible, the design team conserved and utilized the San Antonio residence’s existing natural features, including its specimen trees and boulders. The resulting design includes both shaded and sun-soaked garden rooms where the family’s three generations can gather, relax, and entertain; a new network of trails provides the opportunity to explore the native landscape surrounding the residence.
This Garden Dialogue will be led by Christine Ten Eyck (Ten Eyck Landscape Architects Inc.), Roland Munoz (Michael Imber Architects), Jeff Truax, and Kim Elloriaga.
