Register now for this exceptional Garden Dialogues event at the illustrious Cloverfields, a colonial-era estate with intricate gardens. This event will include a tour of the garden, lunch, and a tour of the home. The estate has undergone a fascinating and meticulous restoration led by passionate and informative experts. Join TCLF, Devin Kimmel, founder of Kimmel Studio Architects, Cloverfields architectural historian, Sherri-Marsh Johns, Matt Rhoderick of McHale Landscape Design and Jim Barton of the Cloverfields Preservation Foundation for this exclusive event.
The original house at Cloverfields was built 1703-05, and subject to numerous additions and alteration well into the twentieth century. In 2017, the Cloverfields Preservation Foundation undertook to restore the site as it existed in 1784 when the property was owned by Col. William Hemsley, a descendant of the original owner. According to the foundation: "The restoration team selected this date as it corresponds with the conclusion of a decades-long campaign of redesign and expansion and shows Cloverfields as it appeared immediately after the war when the estate and family were at their zenith."
Working with a team of collaborating experts including archaeologists, historians, dendrochronologists, botanists, and craftsmen, and using research gathered from ground-penetrating radar, archaeological discoveries, and period writings, Kimmel Studio’s landscape architecture team recovered and re-established the remarkable but forgotten formal gardens.
About the Landscape Architect:
Devin Kimmel, AIA, ASLA; an award-winning architect, landscape architect, and illustrator, is the founder, CEO, and Director of Design of Kimmel Studio, an integrated architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design studio in Annapolis, Maryland. Renowned for his visionary designs and his masterful integration of architecture with the natural environment, Kimmel's accolades include numerous awards in architecture and landscape architecture, including from the Maryland ASLA, Maryland and Chesapeake Bay AIA, Traditional Building, Houzz, Home and Design Magazine, and Annapolis Home Magazine. For his work on the historic Cloverfields estate, Devin received the John Russell Pope Award in Historic Preservation from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.

Refund Policy
Cancellations and Refunds will be granted according to the following schedule:
Up to two (2) weeks in advance: 50% (Deduction represents administrative processing fees)
No refunds will be made for cancellations thirteen (13) days prior to event
No refunds will be made for “No Shows” (a person who registers for a program but who does not cancel registration or attend the program).
Refunds will be processed as they are received or after the conclusion of the program, depending on the program date and when cancellation occurs. Refunds may take five (5) to seven (7) business days to process.
