Coming in May, What's Out There for Smartphones
In May, TCLF will launch a version of the online What’s Out There database specifically designed for hand held devices, offering easier access to more than 1,300 landscapes and 9,000 photographs. Viewers who use their hand held devices to access the database will find site images automatically sized to fill the screen, the text is larger and more easily readable, and most significantly, a new function called “What’s Nearby” that shows neighboring What’s Out There sites.
When a hand held device’s GPS function is enabled, the viewer can use the “What’s Nearby” tab to locate all of the What’s Out There sites within a five mile radius of the viewer. So now travelers and others can find What's Out There landscapes whenever they travel. The same graphic enhancements made to What's Out There have also been implemented for the Pioneers and Events section of the Web site.
Stay tuned for upcoming launch!
