TCLF Announces Season of Events Calendar

TCLF has just announced the 2011 Season of Events Calendar including a broad array of lectures, conferences, and other events across the country, and features the launch of two new Pioneers of American Landscape Design Oral History modules. Charles Luck and The Davey Tree Expert Company and Media Partner, the American Society of Landscape Architects, are sponsoring the third consecutive Season of Events.

Upcoming highlights include:

Thanks to the support of our Partner in Education, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), TCLF will conduct our 7th annual Silent Auction. The event will again take place at the ASLA Annual Meeting, this year in San Diego, October 31-November 1. Also in conjunction with the ASLA Annual Meeting, TCLF will offer an exclusive preview of the soon to open Sunnylands, the Annenberg Center in Rancho Mirage, California. The former home of Ambassador Walter and Leonore Annenberg and landmark of California Modernism designed by A. Quincy Jones is scheduled to open to the public in November 2011. TCLF has planned a daylong excursion to the site that will include an expertly guided tour and gala lunch. More information, including a limited number of tickets, will be available online this spring.

This November 18th, in concert with The Museum of Modern Art, New York, TCLF is hosting the Second Wave of Modernism II: Landscape Complexity and Transformation conference. A complete conference program will be available in April 2011.

Other TCLF events this season include the launch of two new Pioneers Oral History modules: Cornelia Oberlander (April) and Stuart O. Dawson (September), Hudson Highlands Garden Excursion (June), and Every Tree Tells a Story exhibitions on view across the country.
