Liz Goodfellow is a landscape historian and conservationist, specializing in city parks and open spaces. As Vice Chair of the London Parks and Gardens Trust (LPGT) she worked on promotion and preservation of London’s many and varied open spaces, and the annual Open Garden Squares Weekend, when private gardens and squares open to the public. She also served on the Council of the United Kingdom-based Garden History Society and has organized members tours to New England, California and the Pacific Northwest.

Now living again in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ms. Goodfellow has become involved with many local and national organizations concerned with preservation of historic designed landscapes and architecture. She was a founding member of the New England Landscape Design History Association, is active on the committee of Boston’s Esplanade Association, and is a member of the Charles River Citizens Advisory Committee and the Charles River Conservancy.

Ms. Goodfellow is a graduate of the Radcliffe Landscape Design Program (her thesis was Christo: Landscape Designer?), and holds a Masters in History and Theory of Architecture (thesis on London’s Ancient Burial Grounds becoming Public Gardens) from the Architectural Association of London.
