Seeking original plans for Smith Park in Menasha, Wisconsin

Research is being conducted on the evolution and development of Smith Park, located in Menasha, Wisconsin. The land was donated to the city by prominent Menasha citizen Elisha D. Smith in 1897. Smith hired landscape engineer Olof Benson to design a landscape plan for the 23-acre park, which was accepted by the Menasha City Park Board in 1898. Unfortunately, Benson’s original plans for the park have not yet been discovered.
