Peavey Plaza safe for now

Peavey Plaza in Minneapolis has been saved from the wrecking ball as the Heritage Preservation Commission denyed the city’s request to demolish the plaza to make way for a new plaza at a cost of $10 million whilst renovating the existing plaza would cost approximately $8.7 million.
