Adrienne Heflich
Adrienne Heflich is an associate with Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) in Brooklyn, NY and the project manager for the master plan of Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Ms. Heflich enjoys the project-solving challenges and consensus-seeking opportunities that shape the design and construction of public landscapes. The transformation of the Dix site from state hospital to destination park is rich with those opportunities. As MVVA’s explorations of the future park throughout the planning process bear out, the Dix site has the potential to enhance everyday experiences in urban Raleigh, promote healthy communities, and create spaces that celebrate the great natural and cultural diversity of the Triangle region.

In addition to serving as the project manager for the Dix Park project, Ms. Heflich has managed landscape improvements to Vassar College, Albright College, and the historic Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. For the past five years, she has been a part of MVVA’s design and construction administration team for the St. Louis Gateway Arch Grounds alongside project partners the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Great Rivers Greenway, and the National Park Service. Ms. Heflich is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Design and Bowdoin College and a Master Composter certified by the New York City Department of Sanitation.
